Nagging Diary

I am going to list down all the 'incidents' today that have had me nagging or yelling or being cross and frustrated.

1. Refusing to have a shower after being asked nicely to
2. Refusing to have a shower after being nagged to
(Only went to have a shower after being threatened to be carried into the shower to bathe with cold water)
3. Just standing nekkid in front of the toilet in a daydream dripping wet
4. Walking around with no clothes on or even trying to find his towel
5. Takes 30minutes to put clothes on; even then he put on pajama pants instead
6. Cries (merajuk) and walks away from the table because the mini pizzas I made are still too hot to eat while whining "It's taking tooooo long!"
7. Not picking up his toys which are on the floor of every room in this house
8. Watching Youtube videos in secret (hiding in his closet) that I had forbidden him from watching i.e. videos of train/plane crashes and explosions
9. Lying about watching these videos when asked
10. Takes ages to get ready to go out to the mall, everyone else was out the door already and he is still waiting to change his pants
11. Whining in the car about when we're going to get there
12. Cries because the books he is looking for is not in the bookstore. Told him I will just find it online.
13. At home, bought the books he wanted from online bookstore and told him it will be posted. He then asked if the post office is open today. Cried when I said "it's closed today but it will open on Monday".

What a day!!

They say you have to think of more positive things than negative. Okay, let's give it a try.

1. Woke up very early and played quietly without bothering anyone else
2. Brushed his teeth and went to the toilet after waking up by himself
3. Entertained baby while I was in the shower
4. Said thank you when I handed him a glass of milk
5. Wanted to read lots of books
6. Ate lunch quietly
7. Was quiet in the journey home in the car
8. Reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas at random times of the day
9. Said Assalamualaikum when entering the house
10. Asked permission to watch Youtube and promised he would only watch ABC videos
11. Kissed and hugged me randomly and said "I love you Ummi"
12. Helped get a book for me
13. Spoke quietly when baby was sleeping
14. Sat quietly to listen to me telling him the story of Nabi Musa
15. Could tell me back the story of Nabi Musa
16. Washed his hands when I asked him to
17. Solat when I asked him to

It wasn't that bad. It was just bad of me to only think and dwell about the negatives. Bad Ummi!
