That's right rural is a real put off but if only it coincides with muth's rural placement okaylah...aku pon consider GP pasal kalau zz (InsyaAllah) dapat anes, elok buat rural term, lagi byk experience and hands on...aku pon honestly taklah minat GP pon pasal aku lg suka women's health..cuma aku x tau mcm mana nak involve in women's health without being busy... aku apply jer tapi x tau nak commit ker x..aku nak go back to hospital and do DRANZCOG gak..aku still nak buat DRANZCOG... Kalau rehab, ko kena buat 2 more years of hospital term tau kan? aku dah consider dulu tp disebabkan kena buat 2 more years aku rasa mcm x leh nak cope kalau ada family... tp kalau ko balik malaysia trus jadi HOD!!! Abang kak ipar aku nak dtg melbourne march for attachment for rehab and infact i know the first dr yg malaysian government hantaer utk rehab training and skang dia HOD PPUM...
It's not that easy utk pergi rural. Especially kalau 6-12 months. Anak aku pergi sekolah...tak kan nak tukar2 sekolah...kesian dia. Plus this moving around really costs a lot of money!!!! Tak tahan aku kalau kene pindah randah banyak2 kali macam ni. Mun, memang rehab kerja hospital pun..apa maksud ko 2 more years of hospital term? Kene 2 tahun lagi jadi resident with mix and match of rotations ke? Aku baru enquire psl rehab training kat QLD...kene statewide matching la...BOSANNYA!! I hate the unpredictability of it. The only upside is that aku dah buat 2 rotations in Rehab and all my referees are rehab consultants. Apa2 pun, 2013 baru boleh start. Ko bosan tak dengan application sekali setahun macam ni?? Macam la life kita ni ikut year by year.
To be honest, aku pon minat women's health. Gynae more than obs but obs pun orait jugak. But the training is intense. Elok gak ko buat DRANZCOG..but only kalau ko memang ada intention nak jadi GP-obstetrician. Because kalau just for experience, I think 3 months is enough to get a lot of experience and confidence and O&G without having burnout kena buat for 6 months+exams + logbook. You can still be a GP with special interest in women's health without DRANZCOG. but u need the diploma if you want to be a GP-obstetrician and jaga patients antenatally to delivery. Aku pernah borak with a few GP-obs..derang kata..kene rajin ambik patients to deliver..otherwise the money you get won't be worthwhile utk bayar ko nya indemnity.
Aku tak tau nak set mind apply GP or rehab...ke apply dua2 aje terus hahaha
Utk GP: kalau ko leh dapatkan ED ko recognised for peads then ko x yah buat peads..mintak letter dr admin stating how many peads... mmg susah rural tapi layth kecik lagi..iA okay kot..honestly aku x set mind lagi kat GP tapi pasal it's free and I can give it a try then I'll do that... Utk Rehab: ko senanglah nak masuk pasal ko kerja ngan rehab consultant..aku x suka rehab..6 weekd of it was enough to kill me.. super-boring!ko enter as reg for 2 years hospital based..the rest of the years byk clinic gitu jer... total 4-5 years x salah aku... Aku nak buat DRANZOC pasal nak bg lawa CV aku jer sebenarnya haha.. and so x yah buat GP lama2..then aku tinggal 18 months jer GP rather than 24 months
Kalau boleh aku nak try mintak exemption on the moratorium tu. Hmm Layth kecik tp kesian dia.. X ada kawan. Baru ada BFF kat frankston dah pindah. Takes a long time for him to make friends. Kalau dia ada kawan tu, big achievement sgt2. Pindah2 will not be good for him.
As for rehab, mmg kerja di hospital. Even as consultant pun kat hosp jugak 50% ward 50% clinic. But at least it's subacute. Working hours pun reasonable and 'normal'. 4 years duration. Lama ek. Dah la kene rotate2 hospital every year. Rehab bosan but it kinda grows on you. Buat weekends maybe bosaaaaaan sampai muntah darah tapi kalau kenal pt tu, admit and 3 weeks later dia boleh jalan - satisfying la jugak. But like most of medicine, bnyk kes lebih kepada mengada2 je!
Ok je buat dip obs. Mmg cantiklah resume nanti. Seronok jugak cuma lama2 nyampah bergaduh dgn midwife and patient2 bangang kunun nak natural birth sgt nih.
